What are antivirals?
Antivirals or anti-viral pharmaceutical drugs are a group of medicines that are used to treat viral infections. Antiviral drugs fall under the classification of antimicrobials, a larger group that also includes antibiotics or what is termed as antibacterials, antifungal, and antiparasitic drugs or antiviral drugs based on monoclonal antibodies.
